[08/10/2021] Now if your Sim produces Outstanding quality products when they sell it to Crafts Fair or Soaps Company, it will boost a little their fame, if you have Get Famous.

Why spend money on soap, when you can create them in the comfort of your own home? With the brand-new Soap Making Station, your Sim will be able to create new soaps, bath bombs, and salts. Turn your hobby into a money-making venture or craft them for your own personal bath time luxury.

What is included? What does this mod offer?

Brand new hobby table, equipped with 10 level skills and customized items to produce.

The Soap Making Station can be found under Outdoor Activities, and it cost 1000 simoleons. Includes 3 swatches (recolors are allowed, do NOT include the mesh!), the products made on it, and the ingredients can be found in debug mode.

Interactions on the table

Craft Soap, Bath Bombs and Bath Salts. Selecting the station will open the recipe picker menu, from there you can choose what type of item you would like to create. At level 1 only a few bath bombs are available, you will unlock more recipes as your skill level increases.

Level 3 of the soap-making skill unlocks the bath salts menu, soaps are unlocked at level 6 (at level 5 you can craft only plain soap).

Skill Information

Brand new skill - Soap Making, it includes 10 levels, and it is gained by reading skill books (can be bought from the bookshelf or computer) and crafting items on the Station.

At level 5 of the skill, a new interaction is unlocked on the products - Sell At Market Fair (selling price 1.7x retail price) and at level 10, another interaction is unlocked (that requires license) on the products - Sell to Soaps Company (Selling price 2.5x retail price).

Another specific includes custom skill icon, can be mentored, and has custom thought bubbles.

If you have a get-together, crafting soaps is also a Club Activity option, and if you have Seasons, there are two-holiday traditions.

There are included 3 skill books:

1. Soap Making Vol 1: Basic Methods of Making Soap

2. Soap Making Vol 2: Hot 'n' Cold

3. Soap Making Vol 3: Rebatching the Soul

Interactions on the Craftables

Soaps and bath products can be listed on Plopsy, sold from the City Living Sales Table, or sold directly from the inventory.

If you do not want to craft them, you can buy them from the Buy mode catalogue after turning on debug and then searching by the respective name Soap, Bath Bombs, etc.

Bath Salts are available at Level 5 of Soap Making Skills. Opening the bath salts will give you 4 small cups of salts in your Sims inventory.

All products can be placed in the world, you can use them as decoration in your bathroom and they can still be functional as well.

Once your craftable is ready, place it in the world and press on it, other interactions will show up.

Use - As the name suggests, this interaction will let you use the product. Bath Bombs and Salts can be used only with bathtubs and while bathing, Soaps can be used while taking shower/bath. Once used the product will disappear.

NOTE: I DO NOT plan to add an interaction to the object itself (the bathtub or shower), because that would mean overriding the files, which will cause conflicts with other mods who override the same files.

Smell Scented Soap - Sim will smell the soap and will get special moodlets

Admire Crafted Item - Sim will view the soap and will get moodlets

Sell At Craft Fair - Sell the product at 1.7x retail price (available at level 5 of soap making)

Sell to Soaps Company - Sell the product at a higher price (2.5x retail price), however, this interaction will be available after maxing out the skill (level 10), also requires a license.

Ingredients

The ingredients needed for crafting can be separated into two groups - harvestables (EA flowers, some of my custom harvestables), and soap-making essentials (they can be purchased when pressed on the Soap Station, there will be an option to buy soap making supplies). All ingredients are optional, you can create products without them, it will just cost more.

Using the interaction will give 8 of any of the following ingredients - Epsom Salts, Dye, Essential Oils, Soap Base, White, and Pink Damask Rose there is an equal chance of getting any one of the mentioned

Moodlets

There are 50+ craftables, so the moodlets are a lot! There are common and unique moodlets. The common moodlets are after finishing crafting, mentoring, selling, and admiring. For crafting and admiring there are at least 5 different moodlets each, so it will be randomized.

Unique moodlets are brought from using and smelling the products. Literally, every single craftable in the picker option has its own unique moodlet! Only for the bath bombs, the usage interaction is generic, there are a bunch of moodlets that are randomized, but they are not scent specific, however, the smelling interaction is scent specific!

All the rest have scent-specific moodlets for both interactions!

I did not count them but there are at least 100+ different moodlets (if we only count the unique).

Selling Price

The price is made so that the sim can profit no matter of the quality of the product, a higher price can be obtained by selling through the interaction 'Sell At Crafts Fair' (after level 5) or 'Sell to Soaps Company' (Unlocked after maxing out the skill).

Computer Interactions

You will find on the computer a new interaction:

'Research Requirements for Selling Handcrafted Soaps'

Once you reach level 10 at soap making, you will see another interaction as well:

'Apply For Cosmetic Production Safety License' - you need this license to be able to sell to Soaps Companies. This interaction cost 390$ and your Sim has 75% chance to get license from the first time. If they fail, they can apply again. Once licensed, they can sell their production to Soaps Companies.

Add Shampoos, Face Masks, and Body Scrubs
